Where we agree
Both collect guest photos and video by QR code with no app download and no account, both keep uploads at full resolution rather than messenger-compressed copies, both support guest voice messages, and both can hide uploads until a reveal time the couple chooses.
Where we differ
The roll, and whether there is one
Wedding Studio's disposable camera mode delays visibility but keeps uploads unlimited - there is no shot limit, only a later reveal. On TBT the limit is the product: a fixed roll, no previews, no retakes. If what you liked about disposable cameras was the anticipation, their mode delivers it; if what you liked was that every frame cost something, ours does.
Guest counting
Their plans are capped by unique uploading devices - 25, 100, or unlimited - so a 120-guest wedding where most people actually use it needs the $99 tier rather than the $69 one. TBT's flat fee covers any number of guests, so there is no estimate to get wrong.
How long the album lives
Wedding Studio albums stay active until 24 months after the wedding, and their site tells buyers to download everything before it ends. TBT keeps albums with no expiry. Both approaches are defensible - theirs is cheaper to run - but a couple should know which one they are buying.
Price and when you pay
Their plans run $29 to $99 (shown at promotional prices against higher list prices), paid upfront. TBT is $149 flat, paid after the wedding only if the album is worth it to you. They are meaningfully cheaper on the day; we cost nothing until the photographs exist.
