The two pricing shapes

Per-something pricing

Most products charge per virtual “camera,” per guest pack, or in tiers (“up to 50 guests,” “up to 150”). It reads cheap at the entry tier. The catch is that weddings aren’t entry-tier events: run your actual guest list through any tiered pricing page and watch the number climb - often past what the couple expected to spend, right as the guest list grows for reasons outside their control.

Flat pricing

One number, any headcount. TBT is $149 per event, unlimited guests - 30-person anniversary or 300-person wedding, same price. Flat pricing has a side effect we like: it never punishes generosity. Invite the whole village; the bill doesn’t move.

The question under the price: when do you pay?

Nearly everything in this category is paid upfront - before the event, before a single photo exists. That’s a bet: if participation disappoints, if the venue wifi eats uploads, if the product underdelivers, the money is already gone.

TBT inverts it. The event runs free. The album develops. The couple browses everything - watermarked - and then decides whether it’s worth $149. We call it shoot first, pay to develop, and it means the price is never a gamble on an unknown product; it’s a purchase of an album you’re already in love with. If you’re not, you owe nothing and the matter ends there.

What the $149 includes (everything)

No add-on menu: unlimited guests · host-set rolls up to 36 shots per guest · clips · voice wishes · photo missions · the live venue wall · the sealed-until-the-end reveal · the shared guest album if the host enables it · full-quality downloads of every file, organized and attributed to the guest who shot it. The only thing not included yet is the AI Wedding Replay - that's coming, and events shot today will be able to get it.

Comparing honestly

When you evaluate any product in this space, do three things: price your real guest count (not the teaser tier), check whether guests must download anything (participation is the true cost), and ask what happens to your money if the album disappoints. On all three, flat + no-download + pay-after is the combination we built TBT around.
